Resolution 4355 RESOLUTION NO. 4355
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That it is hereby deemed necessary and expedient for the
preservation of public health, that the following described
lands lying and being within the corporate limits of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, which are subject to the accumulation thereon of ponds
of water should be drained.
- SECTION 2. That the owner or owners of said following described
lands within the said City of Miami Beach, Dade County,
Florida, which may be subject to the accumulation thereof of ponds
of water are hereby required to drain the same by means of ditches,
pipe lines, and catch basins; on or before the 3rd day of September,
A. D. , 193g.
Tract A, known as the south half of Isle of
Normandy, as described in deed recorded in
Deed Book #1381 at Page 525 of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida, and the
original island known as Island No. 2 in
fractional sections 10 and 11, township 53
south, range 42 east, less all lands within
the bounds of the Miami View Section, the
Trouville Section and the Ocean Side Section
of the Isle of Normandy, as per plats recorded
in Plat Book 34, Page 80, in Plat Book 25,
Page 56, Plat Book 25, Page 60, Plat Book 34,
Page 63 of the Public Records of Dade County,
Florida.
SECTION 3. That notice to said above named property owner or owners
shall be served upon him or them in the manner provided
by Section No. 2967 of the Compiled General Laws of Florida, 1937,
and shall be given by the City Clerk by publication of this resolu-
tion for two weeks in some newspaper published in said City, and a
copy thereof posted upon said lands.
SECTION 4. That if the owner or owners of the above land shall not
within such time as this resolution directs drain his
or their lands, the said City Council shall drain said lands, and
make the cost thereof a charge and lien against the said land of the
same extent and character as a lien provided for assessments and im-
provements.
