RESOLUTION NO. 2002-25075
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 91-
20289 AND ADOPTING A NEW SCHEDULE OF FEES TO REFLECT
COSTS FOR REPRODUCING THE ANNUAL BUDGET BOOK,
COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT, POLICE COURTESY
FINGERPRINTING CARDS, THE CITY COMMISSION AGENDAS AND
AGENDA PACKAGES OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH.
WHEREAS, City of Miami Beach Resolution No. 91-20289 established fees and
charges for making photographs or copies of public records; and
WHEREAS, the United Sates postal rates and the price of goods and services have
increased and;
WHEREAS, the Administration has determined that the following amended fees are
reasonable and in conformance with law.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that Resolution No. 91-20289 is hereby amended in its entirety,
and that a new fee schedule for making the Annual Budget Book, Comprehensive Annual
Financial Report, Police Courtesy Fingerprinting Cards, the City Commission Agendas and
Agenda Packages is hereby authorized and adopted as follows:

Item Summary/Recommendation:
On May 22, 1991, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 91-20289 adopting a schedule of fees to
reflect actual per unit costs for making photocopies of public records. In the past eleven (11) years, in
addition to the U.S. Postal System increasing the postage charges, there has been an all around increase
in the price of goods and services. This proposed resolution includes an increase in the fee for the Annual
Budget Book, Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, Police Courtesy Fingerprinting Cards, the City
Commission Agendas and Agenda Packages to more closely reflect the actual cost per unit.
The Administration recommends that the Citv Commission adoot the resolution.

ANALYSIS
On May 22, 1991, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 91-20289 adopting a
schedule of fees to reflect actual per unit costs for making photocopies of public records.
Over the past eleven (11) years, in addition to the U.S. Postal System increasing the
postage charges, there has been an all around increase in the price of goods and services.
This proposed resolution includes an increase in the fee for the Annual Budget Book,
Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, Police Courtesy Fingerprinting Cards, the City
Commission Agendas and Agenda Packages of the City of Miami Beach to more closely
reflect the actual cost per unit. In addition, the Administration has placed much of the
information on the City's website, accessible at no cost to the public.
The Administration recommends that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution
amending Resolution No. 91-20289, and adopting a new schedule of fees to reflect costs
for the Annual Budget Book, Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, Police Courtesy
Fingerprinting Cards, the City Commission Agendas and Agenda Packages of the City of
Miami Beach.
