Resolution 4588 RESOLUTION NO. 4588 WHEREAS, it is our desire to perpetuate, honor and revere the name of our late friend and pioneer, Carl Graham Fisher, who was taken by death on July 15th, 1939, and WHEREAS, it is deemed fitting and proper that some parcel of the very land created by the hand of this genius , for the enjoyment of his fellow man, be named for him, so that posterity might more readily remember that this paradise was made available by him for habitation, and WHEREAS, that certain tract or parcel of land bounded on the south by West 49th Street , on the southwest by Lake View Drive, on the west by Alton Road and on the east by Delaware Avenue , was deeded to the City of Miami Beach for park purposes in the year 1926 by Mr. Fisher through one of his development companies, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the tract or parcel above described be and the same shall hereafter perpetually be known and designated as "Carl Graham Fisher Memorial Park".
