AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF AND ON BEHALF
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, BY WRITTEN
PURCHASE ORDER, TO REQUEST, DIRECT AND AUTHORIZE
FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT COMPANY TO INSTALL, CON-
NECT AND/OR SERVE ADDITIONAL STREET LIGHTS AND
TO CHANGE THE LOCATION OF CERTAIN STREET LIGHTS,
AND TO AUTHORIZE PAYMENTS BY THE CITY IN CONNEC-
TION THEREWITH, ALL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STREET
LIGHTING AGREEMENT NOW IN EFFECT BETWEEN THE CITY
AND SAID COMPANY DATED THE 12TH DAY OF JANUARY,
1939; REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2515 PASSED AND
ADOPTED ON JANUARY 20, 1932, RELATING TO THE
AUTHORITY OF THE CITY MANAGER IN CONNECTION WITH
THE INSTALLATION, CONNECTING AND SERVING OF
ADDITIONAL STRELT LIGHTS UNDER THAT CERTAIN
STREET LIGHTING AGREEMENT DATED THE 17TH DAY OF
SEPTEMBER, 1931, WHICH STREET LIGHTING AGREEMENT
HAS BEEN CANCELED AND TERMINATED.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMiI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
1. That the City Managerfor and on behalf of the City, be
and he is hereby authorized, as he snail deem it necessary and advisable
from time to time, to request, direct and authorize, by written Purchase
Order, as written notice to Florida Power & Light Company to install,
connect and/or serve additional street lights within the corporate
limits of the City; to change the location of such street lights
and to authorize payment by the City of cost in connection therewith,
all in accordance with the terms and conditions of that certain
Street Lighting Agreement now in effect between the City and Florida
Power & Light Company dated the 12th day of January, 1939.
2. That Resolution No. 2515, passed and adopted by the
City Council on the 20th day of January, 1932, relating to the
authority of the City Manager in connection with the installa-
tion of street lights under that certain Street Lighting Agree-
ment dated the 17th day of September, 1931 , which Street Light-
ing Agreement has been canceled and terminated, be and the
same is hereby repealed.
