HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

BE IT RESOLVED EY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is
_hereby ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth
its ,intention to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City
Charter:

H•-217 27TH STREET, from Collins Avenue to Miami Beach Drive,
to be paved, and where heretofore paved, to be repaved
to a width of forty-eight (48) feet, with a bituminous
wearing surface on a ten (10) inch rock base.
Together with necessary drainage and improved
on both sides with a concrete curb and gutter.
As said Street, Avenue and Drive are shown on a
Plat recorded in Plat Book Five (6) , Pages Seven
('7) and Eight (8) of the Public Records of Dade County,
Florida, and as said Street is named and designated
in Ordinance No. 232.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with
the City Clerk plans and specifications of said Improvement and an
estimate of the cost thereof, Including an estimate of the cost
of preliminary and other surveys, the inspection and superintendence
of the work, the preparation of plans and specifications and
estimates, the printing and publication of notices, the preparation
of bonds, interest during construction, legal services, abstracts,
etc. , and any other expenses necessary and proper in conductinig the
proceedings and work herein provided for; and the estimated amount
to be asses^ed against each front foot of abutting property.
This im-orovement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments
and bonds as Highway Improvement H-217, and the property against
which assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall
be designated as District H--217'.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS DAY OF A.D.1939.
