Resolution 4732 RESOLUTION NO. 4732
WHEREAS, a tentative proposal has been submitted to the
City of Miami Beach by the United States Coast Guard and the
Miami Beach Bay Shore Company, wherein it is proposed to sell
to the City of Miami Beach the Coast Guard Biscayne Bay House
of Refuge 20.95 acre site for the sum of $225,000.00 and Ir o--
vidin g for a site for a ferry slip for the Miami Beach Bay Shore
Company,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it is the sense of this Body,
unanimously expressed at a Regular Session, that we deem it to
be in the interests of the City to proceed with the purchase of
this property, subject to the provisions of our City Charter,
and subject to the satisfactory working out of details, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager, Mr. Claude
A. Renshaw be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to
negotiate with the parties at interest toward the working out
of final details and the preparation of a binding agreement to
be executed by the parties at interest , looking to the early
acquisition of the said Coast Guard Biscayne Bay House of Refuge
20.95 acre Site.
