Resolution 4743 RESOLUTION NO. 4743
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
on their own initiative will consider the amending, supplementing,
changing, modifying and/or repealing of the regulations, restric-
tions, and/or boundaries as provided in Ordinance No. 289, commonly
known as Zoning Ordinance of Miami Beach, Florida, as hereinafter
set forth, to-wit :
That Paragraph 1 of Section 2 of Ordinance
No. 289 of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
reading as follows:
"In order to regulate and restrict the loca-
tion of trades and industries and the location
of buildings erected, constructed, reconstructed
or structurally altered for specific uses, and
to regulate the size of buildings and other
structures hereafter erected or altered, to re-
gulate and determine the size and dimensions of
yards, courts and other open spaces and to re-
gulate and limit the percentage of lot that may
be occupied and the density of population, the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, is hereby divided
into use and area districts as follows: "
be amended to read as follows:
"In order to regulate and restrict the erection,
reconstruction, alteration, location and use of
buildings, structures, land and water, for trade,
industry, residence, or other purposes, and the
location thereof, and to regulate the size of
buildings and other structures hereafter erected
or altered, to regulate and determine the size
and dimensions of yards, courts and other open
spaces and to regulate and limit the percentage
of lot that may be occupied and the density of
population the City of Miami Beach, Florida, is
hereby divided into use and area districts as
follows. "
and also:
That there be added to Section 5-A of said Ordin-
ance, under USE REGULATIONS "BAAA" BUSINESS DISTRICT ,
immediately following item numbered 19 thereof; the
words and classification :
"(20) Professional Offices" .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a public hearing be called
for the 7th day of February, 1940, at 10:00 o' clock A. M. , in the
Council Chambers at the City Hall, Miami Beach, Florida, for the
purposes as above set forth, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that notice of the time, place and
object of such hearing be published as is provided by said Ordinan^ e.
