Resolution 4844 RESOLUTION NO. 4844 WHEREAS, the continually increasing construction of hotels and apartments in Miami Beach has brought a tremendous increase in visitors arriving and departing through Miami by railroad, and WHEREAS, the said visitors and our Miami Beach residents would be more conveniently served if railroad tickets could be purchased direct from agents of the railroads at some point in this City, thus helping prevent the present nuisance of purchas— ing through hotel employees and others at present illegally hand— ling these tickets. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: That the Florida East Coast Railway Company and the Seaboard Airline Railway Company be and they are hereby urged and requested to establish and maintain a consolidated railroad ticket office in the City of Miami Beach for the convenience of our residents and visitors. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be for— warded to Mr. R. T. Jeffries, Division Passenger Agent, Florida East Coast Railway Company, and to Mr. T. W. Luckett, Assistant General Passenger Agent, Seaboard Airline Railway Company. PASSED AND ADOPTED this lst day of May, A.
