874A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ANGLERS INC.
AS THE OFFICIAL AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH IN CONDUCTING THE ANNUAL
SUMMER FISHING TOURNAMENT OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH AND PROVIDING FUNDS FOR
THE CONDUCT OF TOURNAMENT FOR THE
SUMMER SEASON OF 1940.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Anglers, Inc. , a non-profit corporation, organized
under the laws of the State of Florida, containing among
its members representative citizens of Miami Beach and the Metropoli-
tan Miami area, be and it is hereby designated as the official agency
of the Laity of Miami reach for the management, promotion and control
of the Annual Summer Metropolitan Miami Fishing Tournament operated
by the City of Miami Beach in conjunction with the other municipali-
ties of the Metropolitan Miami area, for the promotion of publicity
for this area, and as an attraction and entertainment to tourists
and summer visitors of the City of Miami Beach.
SECTION 2: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the pity of Miami Beach,
having provided the sum of $1,000.00 as a contribution
to the fund necessary to promote said Summer Fishing Tournament for
the year 1939, does hereby appropriate said sum from Publicity Fund
for such purpose, and the payment thereof shall be made by Claude
A. Renshaw as City Manager, and he is directed and instructed to
pay said fund to the said Anglers, Inc. , under such terms and con-
ditions as he shall deem to be proper to insure the proper expendi-
ture thereof.
