Resolution 4922 RESOLUTION NO. 4922
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, by its Resolution No. 4880, dated May 29th, A. D. , 1940,
agreed to purchase
Lots 7 and 8, of Block 112, of OCEAN
BEACH ADDITION #4, according to the plat
thereof recorded in Plat Book 3 at Page
151, of the Public Records of Dade County,
Florida; and also the following parcel of
land and land under water, described as
follows:
Beginning at a point which is the intersection
of westerly line of Ocean Drive produced
southerly and center line of Biscayne Street
thence easterly along said center line of
Biscayne Street for a distance of 279.541 to
a point; thence northerly along a line at
right angles to above mentioned course for a
distance of 91 to point of beginning -; thence
northerly along said line at right angles to
first mentioned course for a distance of 24. 11
to point; thence continued northerly along
line deflecting to the right 9 degrees, 12 min-
utes, 40 seconds from last mentioned course for
distance of 26. 241 to point which is 591 north-
erly of said center line of Biscayne Street;
thence easterly along line for a distance of 645.41
to point which is 58.71 northerly of said center
line of Biscayne Street produced easterly; thence
southerly along line at right angles to last men-
tioned course for a distance of 94.41 ; thence
westerly along line for distance of 149. 91 to
point which is 35.61 southerly of said center
line of Biscayne Street produced easterly; thence
northerly along a line at right angles to last
mentioned course for a distance of 43.91 ; thence
westerly along a line for a distance of 419.51
to point which is 8.81 northerly of said center
line of Biscayne Street produced easterly; thence
westerly along a line for a distance of 80.21 to
point of beginning as said Drive and Street are
shown on plat reorded in Plat Book 3 at Page 151,
Public Records, IJade County, Florida and as said
Biscayne Street is named and designated in Ordi-
nance No. 232 of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
containing 0.9 acres more or less; together with
all improvements thereon known as the Carter Build-
ing and the Million Dollar Pier, respectively,
for the sum of SIXTY-FIVE THOUSAND (465,000.00) DOLLARS, payable
Five Thousand (45,000.00) Dollars cash, the balance to be evidenced
by a mortgage and four (4) notes, payable in 1, 2, 3 and 4 years,
with interest at the rate of four (4%) per cent per annum, after the
date of closing of this transaction:

One note of 415,000.00 payable one year after date
One note of 15,000.00 payable two years after date
One note of 15,000.00 payable three years after date
One note of 15,000.00 payable four years after date
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby
authorized, in addition to the authorization given them in said Reso-
lution No. 4880, dated May 29th, 1940, to execute the mortgage and
notes herein referred to.
