SUBJECT: Landscaping Improvements at South Pointe Park
The purpose of this LTC is to notify the City Commission that the Parks and Recreation
Department will temporarily close some areas of South Pointe Park, most notably the hill
north of the playground, to perform landscaping improvements.
The project shall consist of sod removal, surface grading and the installation of new sod.
After grading and installation, which shall take approximately one week, the newly sodded
areas will remain closed for additional estimated three to four weeks, in order to allow
proper rooting and establishment.
The project is expected to commence on Monday, May 14, 2018, and should be completed
by Friday, June 8, 2018, weather permitting.
