Resolution 5234 RESOLUTION NO. 5234
WHEREAS, it has come to our attention that a
proposed Constitutional Amendment abolishing all
ad valorem taxes on property is being considered for
passage by this Legislature, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, has considered said matter very care-
fully and are of the opinion that such a policy, if
adopted, would be ruinous to the Cities of Florida,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
i OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that we do hereby
go on record as being absolutely opposed to the adoption
of said amendment and that we urge our Senator and Repre-
sentatives to oppose said measure and do everything in
their power to prevent its adoption.
