RESOLUTION PROTESTING TO THE GRANT-
ING OF PERMIT BY THE UNITED STATES
WAR DEPARTMENT TO WILLIAM W. McGRAW,
OWNER, MacFADDEN-DEAUVILLE HOTEL,
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, FOR THE CON-
STRUCTION OF BULKHEADS AND EXTENSIONS
TO EXISTING GROINS IN THE ATLANTIC
OCEAN.
WHEREAS, application has been made to the War Depart-
ment, by Mr. William W. McGraw, Owner, MacFadden-Deauville Hotel,
6701 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida, for a permit to con-
struct bulkheads and extensions to existing groins in the Atlantic
Ocean, and
WHEREAS, the proposed work will extend an unreasonable
distance out into the Atlantic Ocean,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that we, by this resolution,
do hereby protest against the proposed work and pray the War
Department to refrain from issuing a permit to the said William
W. McGraw, Owner, MacFadden-Deauville Hotel, for the construc-
tion of said bulkheads and extensions to said existing groins.
