RESOLUTION NO. 5588
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ASSISTANT
CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
FLORIDA TO FILE AN APPLICATION TO THE
UNITED 6TATES OF AMERICA THROUGH THE
PUBLIC WORKS ADMINISTRATION OF THE
FEDERAL WORKS AGENCY, FOR A GRANT TO AID
IN FINANCING THE CONSTRUCTION OF DEFENSE
RECREATION FACILITIES ON THE EXISTING
MILLION DOLLAR PIER, AND DESIGNATING THE
ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER, CCITY CLERK AND
CITY ATTORNEY, TO FURNISH SUCH INFORMATION
AS THE GOVERNMENT MAY REQUEST.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That Harry M. Hice , Assistant City Manager, be and he is here—
/g authorized to execute and file an application on behalf of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, to the United States of America, for
a grant to aid in financing the construction of recreational
facilities on the existing Million Dollar Pier.
Section 2: That Harry M. Hice, Assistant City Manager, C.W.Tomlinson,
City Clerk and Ben Shepard, City Attorney, be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to furnish such information as the United
States of America through the Public Works Administration of the
Federal Works Agency may reasonably request in connection with the
application, which is herein authorized to be filed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 2gth DAY OF July, A.D. 1942.
