RESOLUTION NO. 5590
WHEREAS, the War Department of the United States
desires to lease the class rooms located on the second
floor of the Miami Beach Public Library Building for the
sum of One ( $1.00) Dollar per year and has requested the
City of Miami Beach to submit its bid accordingly; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to the best intep-
est of the City and of the Nation to so lease the said class
rooms,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the City Manager
be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to sign and
to submit on behalf of the City of Miami Beach a bid by the
terms of which the said City shall offer to lease said class
room space t an annual rental of One ( $1.00) Dollar, said
class room space to be for the exclusive use by the Army
for the hours from 7:00 A. 1.=. to 4:30 P. M. every day on
Mondays to and including Fridays and from 7:00 A. M. , to
12:00 Noon on Saturdays, including the use of furniture
and equipment now on the premises, also utilities including
electricity and water, the War Department to nay for electricity
however; provided however, that consent to said lease be first
obtained from Miami Beach Improvement Company, former owner
of the property.
