Resolution 5630 RESOLUTION NO. 5630
WHEREAS, the street sweeping equipment owned by the City is
badly worn and as a result is out of use a large part of the time
for repairs, and
WHEREAS, as a result of this condition it is impossible to
keep our streets properly cleaned and
WHEREAS, the health of not only our citizens but of the
thousands of soldiers housed here is menaced by the unsanitary
condition caused by improper street cleaning methods,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Miami
Beach, Florida, that the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized
and instructed to purchase a new street sweeper adequate for the
purpose to cost not more than $7500.00 and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be further
authorized and instructed to take such steps as are necessary to
procure an early priority for the purchase of such equipment.
