Dear Mr. Fisher:
;hen I last wrote you about Mr. Prichard, I stated that I was going
out to his dairy to see what sort of a place he has. He has
some
Jersey
stock, and of course, in a bunch of two hundred he has score that are notf very desir-
able, at least would not be for a show place at the Beach, but he promises that if
he makes arrangements with us, to bring uss his best cattle.
His cattle are out in the,.pr a c ally all the day and he gives them
little feed in the stables, just enough to keep them quiet while mdlki very
milk-
ing is done by machinery and by the same type asShore Ail be-
fore Mr. Brown came. They � you had at the Bay dairy are very particular with their milk and everything seems
to be well taken care cf. We watched them perform the operation and also brought
two battles of milk home with us, which certainly had a nice lot of cream on the next
morning.
As near as I can uaderstand, without making a positive bargain, he is
willing to pay ;;3,000 a'year rental for the place, sell the milk at 20¢ a quart to
the hotel in bulk ani deliver it to the residents at the Beach in bottles at 25¢ a
quart; we to furnish him with whatever equipment we have up there, including Para
grass for pasture, but in order to do that we would have to do some fencing, not
necessarily surround the whole tract of land, but run a line of fencing that would
guide the cattle until they got beyond the grove and got into the grass and frgm
there he would have to have some one to herd them. He is coming over again tomorrow
morning to go voer the tract with us and we will know then just how much fencing he
does want us to build.
He vvaants the privilege of selling the manure, which I understand runs from

half the value of the manure.
