Resolution 5652 RESOLUTION NO. 5652
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has heretofore granted
to the United States of America an Option to Lease, for the sum of
One ( ,)1.00) Dollar per annum for the period beginning November 10th,
1942, and ending June 30th, 1943, the following described property
situate, lying and being in the City of Miami Beach, Dade County,
wlorida, to-wit :
That certain tract or parcel of land known and
designated as *that part of Surfside iark, between
72nd Street and 73rd Street, extending westwardly
from the viestern boundary of Collins Avenue to
the Eastern bank of the Inland Waterway, except-
ing that portion of Harding Avenue crossing the
above described land, which shall be reserved
for the use of the public as a street`' ;
and.
Val.rJt +AS, said Government is now exercising said option
and has submitted to the City of Miami Beach a proposed lease with
the request that same be executed by andon behalf of. said City
for the requirements of the War Department; and
WIt:RiAS, said lease has been read in open meeting
and the City Council of the City of ic;iami Beach deems it to the
best interest of said City to enter into said lease,

the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the JJayor and the City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said lease
for and on behalf of said City.
