Resolution 5654 RESOLUTION NO. 5654
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, on its own iniative will consider the amending,
supplementing, changing, modifying and/ or repealing of the
regulations, restrictions, and/ or boundaries as provided in
Ordinance No. 289 , commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of
Miami Beach, Florida, as hereinafter set forth, to wit :
That Ordinance No. 289 of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
and the District Maps thereto attached be amended so as to
Place in and include in "BA" Business District, as set forth and
defined in said Ordinance the following described parcels of
land situate, lying and being in the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, to-wit :
The North. One-half (Ni) of Lot Four (4) ;
All of Lots Five (5) and Six ( 6) ; The East
Sixty (60) feet of Lot Seventeen ( 17) ; The
East Sixty (60) feet of Lot Eighteen ( 18) ;
All in Block Fifty-four (54) of FISHER' S
FIRST SUBDIVISION of Alton Beach, according
to the Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 2,
at Page 77, of the Public Records of Dade
County , Florida; except that portion of said
North One-half (N- ) of Lot Four (4) and that
portion of said Lots Five (5) and Six ( 6)
lying East of the dividing line between Lots
8 and 9 of said Block 54, projected Southerly;
And Also
That portion of that certain strip of land Twenty
( 20) feet wide ( formerly platted as an alley but
now vacated) which is located in Block Fifty-four
(54) of said FISHER' S FIRST SUBDIVISION of Alton
Beach, described as follows :
"Begin at the Northeast corner of Lot 6, Block 54,
of Fisher' s First Subdivision of Alton Beach, ac-
cording to the plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book
2, page 77 of the Public Records of Dade County,
Florida; thence westerly along the Northerly line of
Lot 6, Block 54, of said subdivision a distance of
268.94 feet to the Northwest corner of st= id Lot 6;
thence continue Westerly along the Northerly line
of Lot 17 , Block 54, of said subdivision a distance
of Go feet to a point ; thence Northerly parallel to
the Easterly line of said Lot 17 a distance of 20
feet to a point on the Southerly line of Lot 13,
Block 54, of the subdivision; thence Easterly along
the Southerly lines of Lots 13, 12, 11, 10, 9 , 8,
and 7, to the Southeast corner of Lot 7, Block 54,
of said subdivision, said corner being located on
the Westerly line of Collins Avenue; thence South-
westerly along the Westerly line of Collins Avenue
a distance of 20 feet, more or less to the point of
beginning.

That said Ordinance No. 289 and the District Maps there-
to attached be amended so as to place in and include in
"RE" Multiple-Family District , as set forth and defined
in said Ordinance the following described parcels of
land situate, lying and being in the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, to-wit :
Lots Twenty-two ( 22) to Forty-two (42) , inclusive,
of Block One ( 1) of SECOND OCEAN FRONT SUBDIVISION,
according to Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 2g,
page 28 of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida,
Also, that said Ordinance No. 289, and the District Maps
thereto attached be amended so as to place in and include
in "RE" Multiple-Family District , as set forth and de-
fined in said Ordinance, the following described parcels
of land situate, lying and being in the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, to-wit :
Lots Twenty-nine ( 29) to Forty (40) , both in-
clusive, of Block Three (3) , SECOND OCEAN FRONT
SUBDIVISION, according to the Plat thereof, re-
corded in Plat Book 28, at Page 28, of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida.
Also, that said Ordinance No. 289 , and the District Maps
thereto attached be amended so ;- s to place in andinclude
in "RC" Estate District , as set forth and defined in said
Ordinance, the following described parcel of land situate,
lying and being in the City of giami Beach, Florida, to-wit :
Lot Twenty-eight ( 28) of Block Three ( 3) , SECOND
OCEAN FPONT SUBDIVISION, according to the Plat
thereof, recorded in Plat Book 28, at page 28,
of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a public hearing be
called for the 19th day of May, 1943, at 10:00 o' clock A. M. ,
in the Council 7figiiiEirs at the City Hall, Miami Beach, Florida,
for the purpose as above set forth, and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that notice of the time, place
and object of such hearing be published as is provided by said
Ordinance.
