Resolution 5953 RESOLUTION NO. 5953
WtEAS, on or about the 29th day cf December,
A. O. 1945, at or near the intersection of Euclid Avenue
and 16th Street, in the City of Miami Beach, Florida, one
of the employees of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, to-wit:
Gula W. Owens, sustained injuries through the alleged negli-
gence of one George Farkas in the operation of the automobile
of said 'Teor ;e Farkas ; and
WHEREAS, at the same time and place, and under
the same circumstances, the motorcycle owned by the said City
of Miami Beach, and then and there driven by the said Gula
Owens , was also damaged; and
WHEREAS, the insurer of the said George Farkas
has consented to pay to i he City 'of Miami Beach the sum of
.273.60 in full satisfaction of all claims which said City
may now have or may now hereafter have, by subrogation, assign-
ment or otherwise, on account of the injury sustained by said
GULA W. OFA"QTS, and on account of the damage to said motorcy; le;
and
WHEREAS, a form of release has been prepared for
execution by the duly authorized officers of said City with
the terms of which the City Council of said City is familiar,
NOW, TFERxa"ORE, BE IT RESOLVMT) BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF SAID CITY, that the Mayor, and the City Clerk, be and they
are hereby authorized and directed to execute in the name of
and on behalf of said City, the release hereinbefore referred
to, to be delivered to said George Farkas, or the representative
of his insurer, upon receipt of the sum of .;>273.6O.
