Resolution 5687 RESOLUTION NO. 5687 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING OCTOBER 31st, 1944. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that: WHEREAS, the City Tax Assessor of said City has notified this body that the amount of the sum total of taxable property in the said City of Miami Beach, Dade County, Florida, for the tax year of 1943 is Seventy—nine Million, Four Hundred Seventy Thousands, Nine Hundred Fifty and 00/100 ($79,470,950.00) Dollars, which, however, includes One Hundred Forty—four Thousand, Seven Hundred Fifty and 00/100 ($1'14 ,750.00) Dollars in Widow' s and Veteran's Exemptions, leaving a working gross assessed valuation of Seventy—Nine Millions Three Hun— dred Twenty- Six Thousands, Two Hundred and 00/100 ($79,326,200) Dol- lars, which total is subject to an allowance of Ten Millions, Six Hundred Ninety—three Thousands, Five Hundred and 00/100 ($10,693,500.00) . for Homestead Exemptions, pursuant to the provisions of an Act known as "Senate Bill No. 123", adopted by the State Legislature in 1935 and as amended, leaving a net assessed valuation of Sixty—Eight Million Six Hundred Thirty—two Thousands, Seven Hundred and 00/100 ($68,632,700., ) Dollars. THEREFORE, in conformity with Section 43 of the City Charter of said City, the City Council has ascertained the amaznt of the money needed for each department and makes the following estimate to be raised by taxes on all of the taxable property in the said City for the year A.
