Resolution 6014 RESOLUTION NO. 6014
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE HONORABLE
WILLIAM D. PA'rVLEY ON HIS APPOINTMENT AS
AMBASSADOR TO BRAZIL.
WHEREAS, one of our Miami Beach citizens , the Honorable William
D. Fawley, well known 'round the world for his years of distinguished
work in the promotion of aviation and the aviation industry at home
and abroad, having by reason of his wide experience recently completed
an outstanding service to his country by successfully representing our
Government in Peru, one of our great neighboring countries to the South,
and
WHEREAS, the President of the United States has now appointed our
distinguished friend and fellow6itizen as United States Ambassador to
Brazil, one of our friendly South American nations of vast proportions
and potentialities for our mutual welfare in this western hemisphere;

and this important appointment having been confirmed by the United
States Senate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, that we, for and in behalf of our citizenry, do
hereby acknowledge this important appointment as a signal honor to our
good friend and citizen Mr. Pawley, and we also feel that our City of
Miami Beach and the whole State of Florida has been the recipient of an
important national recognition; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we do hereby heartily congratulate the
Honorable Ambassador, William D. Pawley, on this well deserved recog—
nition of efficient service rendered to his Government.
