Resolution 6040 RESOLUTION NO. 6040
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
is considering amending and changing certain of the regulations and
restrictions established and contained in Ordinance No. 289, commonly
known as the "Zoning Ordinance of the City of Miami Beach, Florida" ,
as hereinafter set forth, to-wit :
To amend said ordinance and the maps attached thereto and made a
part thereof, so as to include in "BAA" Business District as said Dis-
trict is therein set forth and described, the following described
lands situate, lying and beirgin Miami Beach, Dade County, Florida,
to-wit:
The North 150 feet of Block 53 of ORCHARD SUBDIVISIONS,
Nos. 2 and 3, according to Plat thereof, recorded in
Plat Book 8, page 116 of the Public Records of Dade
County, Florida.
AND so as to include in "BAA" Business District, and in Area Dis-
trict No. 17 as said districts are set forth and described in said ordi-
nance, the following described lands situate, lying and being in Miami
Beach, Dade County, Florida, to-wit:
Lots 13 to 18, inclusive, of Block 7;
Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, of Block 8, of
NORMANDY BEACH SOUTH, according to Plat thereof
recorded in Plat Book 21, at page 54, of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida.
AND so as to include in "BB" Business District and in Area District
No. 18 as said districts are set forth and described in said Ordinance,
the following described lands situate, lying and being in Miami Beach,
Dade County, Florida, to-wit:
All of the West Half of Block 13 of the Amended Plat
of Block Thirteen of the Alton Beach Realty Company,
according to Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 9,
page 146, of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida.
AND ALSO
The West Half of Block 13-A and the East Half of Block
14-A of ISLAND VIEW ADDITION, according to Plat thereof,
recorded in Plat Book 9, page 144, of the Public Records
of Dade County, Florida.
AND ALSO
The East Half of Block 14 of ISLAND VIEW SUBDIVISION,
according to Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 6,
page 115, of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, that a public hearing be and is hereby called
to be held on the 16th day of July, A. D. , 1946, at 10:00 o ' clock .A. M. ;
in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall, Miami Beach, Florida, for
the consideration of said amendments.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is hereby
directed to give at least fifteen (l5) days' notice of the time,
place and object of said hearing by publishing notice thereof in the
Evening Sun and Daily Tropics, a newspaper of general circulation in
said City of Miami Beach in conformity with Section 21 of Ordinance
No. 289 of said City.
