Resolution 6050 RESOLUTION NO. 6050
WHEREAS, on February 19, 1942, a lease was entered
into between the City of Miami Beach, Florida, and the
United. States Government covering that parcel of land
situated in the City of Miami Beach, Florida, and known
and designated as the Miami Beach Golf Course; and
WHEREAS, said lease terminated by mutual consent on
the 29th day of June, 1946; and
WHEREAS, the Government, during its use and occupancy,
committed certain damage to the premises in settlement of
which the Government has now offered to relinquish, transfer
and deliver to said City, title to certain property installed
by and owned by the Government and to pay to said City the
sum of -; 23,999.20 in full satisfaction of all claims for damages
as a result of waste or any other matter; and
WHEREAS, the Government has prepared and submitted to the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, a Supplemental Agreement by the
terms of which said City accepts the transfer of title to the
property installed by and owned by the Government as aforesaid,
as shown by Schedule "A" attached to and made a part of said
Supplemental Agreement, together with the payment by the Govern-
ment to said City of the sum of < 23,999.20; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of, Miami Beach, Florida,
is familiar with the terms of said Supplemental Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
deems it to the best interest of said City to accept, in full
satisfaction of all claims for damages, the transfer of title to
said property and the payment of said sum,
NOW, TIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVTED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florlda, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and
they are hereby authorized and directed to execute in the name of
and on behalf of said City, said Supplemental Agreement.
