WHEREAS, a City Administration can only properly service
and develop a municipality to the extent that it can obtain
and hold the services of interested, competent and conscien-
tious members of the personnel in its various departments, and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach, Florida , has been for-
tunate in obtaining and holding for long periods, a number of
employees who have contributed much towards the splendid growth
and financial position that our City has attained, and
WHEREAS, one of these outstanding persons, LURANA POHZEHL,
has, on July 1st, 1946, passed her twentieth anniversary as an
exceptionally competent, faithful and conscientious employee,
working first on the important task of transcribing the City' s
Tax Roll and continuing through the years in various capacities
with the Collection and Finance Department, always rendering
that extra effort in her work which differentiates between actual
performance of duty and interested participation in the service
being rendered the employer, and
WHEREAS, for the past few years, she has handled, with dis-
tinction, the important assignment of Senior Secretary to the
City Clerk of our City,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that we do hereby congratulate •
Lurana Pohzehl on this twentieth anniversary of her employment
with the City of Miami Beach and we do further acknowledge the
important role she has played throughout these years in our
growth and development and we further proclaim our respect and
confidence in her fidelity in continued service with the City.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of July, A. D. 1946.
