Resolution 6061 RESOLUTION NO. 6061 • TO MORRIS N. LIPP WHEREAS, it is of vital importance to any municipal administra- tion that it have in its employ a competent engineer to intelligently plan and supervise the many and varied public works and improvements which it must continue to construct from time to time in keeping pace with private development; and WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been unusually fortunate in having the services of Mr. Morris N. Lipp, a very compet- ent civil engineer who has grown up with the Engineering Department of our City and developed as our City has developed; and WHEREAS, Mr. Lipp has by his skill and conscientious attention to duty rendered the City an invaluable service during his many years of service with us; and WHEREAS, the month of July, 1946, marks for Mr. Lipp the comple- tion of twenty years service with the City of Miami Beach, broken only by a period during World War II when the City loaned him to the Armed Forces, where he distinguished himself in various engineering assignments, and recently was honorably discharged as a Major; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that we do hereby congratulate Mr. Morris N. Lipp upon the twentieth anniversary of his employment with the City, and we do further acknowledge the fine contribution which has been made by him to the splendid growth and development of our fair city. PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of July, A.
