Resolution 6071 RESOLUTION HO. 6071
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida , is considering amending and changing certain of the
regulations and restrictions established and contained in Ordi-
nance No. 289, commonly known as the "Zoning Ordinance of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida" as hereinafter set forth, to-wit :
To amend said ordinance and the maps attached thereto and
made a part thereof, so as to create a new area district to be
known as Area District No. 38, the requirements within which
shall be as follows :
There shall be a front yard having a
depth of riot less than forty (40) feet ,
when measured from any waterway, bay
or ocean. There shall be a rear yard
having a depth of not less than fifty
(50) feet when rneasureid from the street
line. There shall be a side yard having
a width of not less than fifteen (15)
feet on either side of a building.
AND, so as to create a new Area District to be known as Area
District No. 39, the requirements within which shall be as follows:
There shall be a front yard having a
depth of not less than fifteen (15)
feet when measured from any waterway,
bay or ocean. There shall be a rear
yard having a depth of not less than
Ten ( 10) feet when measured from the
street line. There shall be a side
yard having a width of not less than
ten ( 10) feet on either side of a
building.
AND, to amend said ordinance and the maps attached thereto and
made a part thereof, so as to include in Area District No. 17 as therein
set forth and described, the following described lands situate,
lying and being in Miami Beach, Dade County, Florida, to-wit :
Lots One ( 1) to Eight (8) , inclusive,
of OCEAN PARK, according to the Plat
thereof, recorded in Plat Book 41, at
page 50, of the Public Records of Dade
County, Flori da.
AND, so as to include in"RE's Multiple Family District as said
district is in said ordinance set forth, and described, and in Area
District No. 38 to be newly created as above set forth, the following

described lands situate, lying and being in Miami Beach, Dade
County, Florida, to-wit :
Lots Two (2) to Ten (10) , inclusive,
of SUBDIVISION OF BLOCK 80 of the
Alton Beach Realty Company, according
to the Plat thereof, recorded in
Plat Book 6, at page 12, of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida.
AND, so as to include in Area District No. 9 as said district
is set forth and described in said ordinance, the following des-
cribed lands situate, lying and being in Miami Beach, Dade County,
Florida, to-wit :
All of Blocks One (1) and. Two (2) of
BEACH BAY SUBDIVIS IOd, according to the
Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 44,
at page 25, of the Public Records of
Dade County, Florida.
ALSO
All of Block Seven (7), of HAYNESWORTH
BEACH SUBDIVISION, according to the

Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 41,
at page 2, of the Public Records of
Dade County, Florida.
ALSO
All of Blocks One ( 1) and Seventeen ( 17)
of NORMANDY BEACH SOUTH, according to the
Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 21,
at page 54, of the Public Records of Dade
County, Florida.
AND, so as to include in "RE" Multiple Family District and
in Area District No. 34, as said districts are set forth and
described in said ordinance, the following described lands situate,
lying and being in Miami Beach, Dade County, Florida, to-wit :
Lots Two (2) to Twenty-seven (27) ,
inclusive, and L"ts Thirty-three
(33) to Sixty-three (63) inclusive,
all in Block Seven (7) of amended
plat of SECOND OCEAN FRONT SUBDIVISION,
according to the Plat thereof, recorded
in Flat Book 28, at pae 28, of the
Public Records of Dade County, Florida.
AND, so as to include in "RE" Multiple Family District as said
district is set forth and described in said ordinance, and in Area
District No. 39 to be newly created as above set forth, the following
described lands situate, lying and being in Miami Beaoh, Dade County,
Florida, to-wit :

Lots Two (2) to Eighteen ( 18) , inclusive,
of Block Three (3) of Amended Plat of
SECO. D O C AN FRONT SUBDIVISION, according
to the Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book
28, at page 28, of the Public Records of
Dade County, Florida.
AND, so as to include in "RE" Multiple Family District and in
Area District No. 20, as said districts are set forth and described
in said ordinance, the following described lands situate, lying and
being in Miami Beach, Dade County, Florida, to-wit :
Lots Nineteen (19) to Twenty-eight (28)
inclusive of Block Three (3) of Amended
Plat of SECOND OCEAN FRONT SUBDIVISION,
according to the Plat thereof, recorded
in Plat Book 28, at page 28, of the Pub-
lic Records of Dade County, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLViD by the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, that a public hearing be and is hereby
called to be held on the 3rd day of September, A. D. 1946, at 10:00
o' clock, A. TM . , in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall, Miami Beach,
Florida., for the consideration of s aid amendments.
BE IT FLIRT:UR RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is hereby
directed to give at least fifteen (15) days ' notice of the time,
place and object of said hearing by publishing notice thereof in
the Evening Sun and. Daily Tropics, a newspaper of general circulation
in said City of Miami Beach in conformity with Section 21 of Ordinance
No. 289 of said City. •
