A RESOLUTION APPROVING A LIST OF NAMES
OF FREEHOLDERS WHO ARE QUALIFIED ELECTORS
RESIDING IN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, MADE UP AND CERTIFIED BY THE
REGISTRATION OFFICER OF SAID CITY, AND
PROVIDING THAT A COPY OF SAID LIST BE
FILED AND PRESERVED AMONG THE RECORDS OF
THE CITY COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 6 of Chapter 14715, Laws of Florida,
Acts of 1931, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, did
direct and cause to be made up and certified by the City Clerk, as
Registration Officer in and for said City of Miami Beach, a list of the
names of all qualified electors appearing on the registration books who
have been determined by said Registration Officer to be freeholders
residing in said City of Miami Beach and who have been determined to be
qualified to vote in the special election ordered by the City Council of
said City of Miami Beach to be held by said City of Miami Beach on the
4th day of April, 1944, to determine whether Bonds of the City of Miami
Beach in the sums and for the purposes stated in the notice of election,
provided for in Section 6 of Resolution No. 5717 and heretofore
authorized and provided for by said City shall be issued; and
WHEREAS, said registration officer has prepared such certified list
of names of all qualified electors appearing on the registration books
of said City who are determined to be freeholders residing in said City
of Miami Beach and entitled to participate in said election; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City of Miami Beach has examined
such list and ascertained that it complies fully with said Chapter
14715, Laws of Florida;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach:
Section 1. That said list of freeholders who are qualified electors
so submitted by the Registration Officer be and the same
is hereby approved in all respects.
Section 2. That it is hereby found, ascertained, determined and
declared that in making up said list of qualified voters
such investigation has been made as warrants the conclu—
sion that all names appearing on said list are qualified to vote in
said election and that said list is a complete list of all voters who
are qualified to vote in such election.
Section 3. That a certified copy of this Resolution be attached to
a copy of said list of qualified electors who are free—
holders residing in the City of Miami Beach for the
purpose of identifying such list and that such copy of said list with
the attached certified copy of this Resolution be filed and preserved
among the records of the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida.
Section 4. That the City Clerk of said City of Miami Beach is hereby
authorized and directed to furnish to the inspectors and
clerk at every voting place where said election is to be
held a copy of said list of qualified electors who are freeholders
residing in said City who are entitled to participate in said election.
