Resolution 5728 RESOLUTION NO. 5728
WHEREAS, one Howard Beck was, in the year
1928, convicted for unlawfully killing David C. Dearden,
a Police Officer of the City of niiami Beach, r'lorida,
and was sentenced to imprisonment in the State Prison
for life; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach is now informed that said Howard Beck has applied.
to the Farole Commission of the State of Florida for
parole ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion
that the killing of said police officer was cold blooded
murder and that the application for parole should not be
granted,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED D BY £HE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAL.1 BEACH, FLGHIOA, that said
City Council does hereby protest against, and object to,
the granting of a parole to said Howard Peck.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy
of this resolution be transmitted to the Parole Commission
by the City Clerk.
