RESOLUTION NO. 5733
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach desires to construct
water supply mains across Biscayne Bay on or near North Bay
Causeway, together with necessary pumping equipment and connec-
tions to the Miami Beach water distribution system; and
WHEREAS, it is of vital importance to the citizens of
Miami Beach that an adequate supply of pure water be assured at
an early date; and
WHEREAS, in order to proceed with the construction of
said water supply mains and connections it is necessary to secure
priorities from proper governmental agencies for the necessary
materials,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that Claude A. Renshaw, City
Manager, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to make the
proper and necessary applications for and on behalf of said City
to secure priorities on the materials necessary for the construc-
tion of a water supply main across Biscayne Bay on or near North
Bay Causeway, together with necessary pumping equipment and con-
nections to the Miami Beach water distribution system.
