Resolution 5739 RESOLUTION NO. 57�9 WHEREAS, on or about the 4th day of February, 1941, ROSE E. WHITE, then an employee of the City of Miami Beach, was seriously injured in an automobile collision at the corner of 9th Street and Meridian Avenue, in said City, said accident occurring while said Rose E. White was driving an automobile in . line of duty; and WHEREAS, said Rose E. White deemed it advisable and elected to proceed for the recovery of damages against one Joseph Gonshor whose negligence, it was alleged, was the cause of the injury; and WHEREAS, a suit was thereafter instituted arainst Joseph Gonshor for the recovery of damages in settlement of which an offer of 'p4,000.00 has been made, of which sum one-third is to apply to attorneys ' fees and two-thirds is to be paid to the City of Miami Beach, which settlement is satisfactory to Rose E. White and to her attorneys; and WHR AS, said $4,000.00 in full settlement of the claim against said Joseph Gonshor can and will be made only upon the execution of a full release of all claims which the City of Miami Beach might now or hereafter have on account of said injury, NOW, TEEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, that the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute a full and complete release to said Joseph Gonshor to be delivered upon the payment by said Joseph Gonshor, or someone on his behalf, of the sum of $4,000.00 to the attorneys of record for said Rose E. White. PASSED and ADOPTED this at day of June, A.
