RESOLUTION NO. 5749
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY TO ISSUE DUPLICATE
CITY TAX CERTIFICATE ISSUED TO THE DON-BAR
COMPANY AND ASSIGNED BY THE SAID DON-BAR
COMPANY TO MRS. DOROTHY LITTLEHEELES.
WHEREAS, it appears from the affidavit of Mrs. Dorothy Littlehales
that she has lost City Tax Sale Certificate, as follows, to-wit:
CERTIFICATE NO. 234, dated July 7, 1936
and,
WHEREAS, the said Mrs. Dorothy Littlehales has asked for the
issuance of duplicate tax sale certificate thereof and has signified her
willingness to indemnify the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida and E. B. Leatherman, Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for Dade
County, Florida, and their successors in office against any loss
occasioned by the issuance of said duplicate tax sale certificate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida,
That the City Clerk of said City is hereby authorized to issue
duplicate tax sale certificate to Mrs. Dorothy Littlehales ^overing
the property described in the original tax sale certificate set forth
in the preamble of this resolution, inasmuch as the said Mrs. Dorothy
Littlehales has filed bond with this Body for the purpose of protecting
this Body and the Clerk of Circuit Court in and for Dade County, Florida,
against any loss that might occur by reason of the reappearance of the
original certificate.

I, MRS. DOROTHY LITTLEH]CELES, whose address is ehrprksah S.Cot
being the owner of Tax Sale Certificate No. 234 dater i y 7, 193b, the
face amount of which is $21. 55, covering the following described property,
to-wit:
LOT 4, BLOCK 10, R1vo Alto Island, as recorded
in Plat Book 7, Page 74, of Public Records of
Dade County, Florida,
hereby make application to your Honorable Body to issue a duplicate Tax
Sale Certificate in lieu of the original certificate described herein, for
the following reason:
(1) That said Tax Sale Certificate was purchased by the Don-Bar
Company at the regular sale of 1936, for which they paid the sum of $21.55;
(2) That said Tax Sale Certificate was assigned to me, Mrs. Dorothy
Littlehales, by the said Don-Bar Company on December 30, 1936, for which

( 3) That said Tax Sale Certificate or any interest therein has not
been hypothecated, sold, assigned, transferred or delivered by me and I
have received no consideration therefor;
(4) That said Tax Sale Certificate has been lost or destroyed and that
I have made diligent search and am unable to locate said certificate;
(5) That if duplicate certificate is issued in lieu of said certifi-
cate and the original certificate should be located at any time, the same
will be surrendered to the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Dade County for
cancellation, at the same time notifying the City Tax Collector of Miami
Beach, Florida;
(6) That I , Mrs. Dorothy Littleha les , as a further consideration,
acknowledge myself firmly bound unto the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida and its successors in office, And the Clerk of Circuit Court
in and for Dade County, Florida, in the sum of $43.10, being double the
amount of the face value of said Tax Sale Certificate, for payment whereof,
well and truly to be made, I bind myself, my heirs, executors and adminis-
trators firmly by these presents, should said certificate be presented by
any person whomsoever, assigned or otherwise, for payment or application
for tax deed thereon.
I solemnly swear, or affirm, that the statements contained herein, in
support of my application for issuance of duplicate tax certificate, are
true and correct. So help me God.
