RESOLUTION NO. 5761
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has heretofore entered
into an agreement to purchase a tract of submerged land in
Biscayne Bay lying immediately North of Di Lido Island, said
agreement being conditioned upon obtaining permits from the
United States War Department to bulkhead and fill said submerged
lands and to construct a bridge to connect said lands with Di Lido
Island; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for said City to acquire lands on
Di Lido Island to serve as an approach to said bridge; and
WHEREAS, Sea Bay Corporation, the owner of the following
described lands , to-wit :
Lot "A" of Di Lido, an Island in
Biscayne Bay, according to the Plat
thereof, recorded in Flat Book 8,
at page 36, of the Public Records
of Dade County, Florida, also an
eight foot strip of land contiguous to
the Northern boundary line of said Lot
"A" lying between the northerly exten-
sion of the easterly and westerly boun-
dary lines of said Lot "A",
has consented, in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred (N200.00)
dollars, to enter into a contract by the terms of which said Sea
Bay Corporation will obligate itself to sell and said City will
obligate itself to buy said Lot "A" of Di Lido, for the sum of
Eight Thousand Five Hundred ($8,500.00) dollars, only if said per-
mits are obtained; and
WHERV AS, the City Council is familiar with the terms of said
proposed contract , which has been approved, as to form, by the
City Attorney, and deems it to the best interests of the City to
enter into said contract ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Acting Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute and

deliver said contract for and on behalf of said City and to
pay on account thereof the sum of Two Hundred ( 200.00) dollars
out of funds of said City available for such purpose.
