Resolution 5782 RESOLUTION NO. 5782
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has heretofore procured
an option agreement for the purchase of property situate, lying
and being in said City and described as follows , to-wit :
Lots One ( 1) , Two ( 2) , Three ( 3) ,
Four ( 4) , Five ( 5) and Six ( 6) of
Block 3, ALTOS DEL MAR NO.1 ,
according to the Plat thereof,
recorded in Plat Book 31 , at page
40, of the Public Records of Dade
County, Florida , together with all
rights appurtenant thereto ;
and
WHEREAS, said option agreement provided that written
notice of the exercise thereof should be given to Normandy Homes,
Incorporated, a Florida Corporation ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
deems it to the best interest of said City to exercise said option
to purchase which said option provided for a total purchase price
of Eighty-nine thousand, four hundred seventy-three ($89,473.00)
cash,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and the City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to serve written notice
of the exercise of said option, for and on behalf of said City, as
in said option agreement provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, subject to the approval of
title by the City Attorney, the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to consummate, for and on behalf of said
City, the purchase of said property on said terms and the City
Manager and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to make the payments required by said agreement out of
the funds of said City available for such purpose.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of January, A.D. 1945.
