Resolution 5786 RESOLUTION NO. 5786
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, that in the opinion of said City Council
the location of an airport on Virginia Key or in any other
location of such close proximity to the City of Miami Beach
would be detrimental to our tourist business and a source
of annoyance to our residents and to our visitors because of
the unavoidable necessity of -planes flying over our city at
all hours of the day and night.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he
is hereby directed to furnish certified copies of this Resolu-
tion to Senator Claude A. Pepper and Congressman Pat Cannon.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 9th day of February, A. D.
1945.
