Resolution 5789 r RESOLUTION NO. 5789 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF DUPLICATE TAX SALE CERTIFICATES. WHEREAS, it has been made to appear to the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that certain tax sale certificate issued by the City of Miami Beach to C. A. Maher in the face amount of 4)145.00, dated September 5th, 1932, bearing No. 1070, covering delinquent taxes for the year 1931, and that certain Tax Sale Cer- tificate issued by said City to C. A. Maher in the face amount of 4))94.60, dated September 5, 1932, bearing No. 1102, have been lost or destroyed; and WHEREAS, Blanche Maher, widow of said C. A. Maher, has applied for the issuance of duplicates of said Tax Sale Certificates, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the City Clerk be and he is hereby authorized to issue duplicates of said Tax Sale Certificates in the name of C. A. Maher, upon the filing with the City Clerk, of bonds in the sums of 4)290.00 and 4)190.00, respectively, duly executed by Mark A. Walsh of Burlington, Iowa, but with no other sureties, said bonds to indemnify the City of Miami Beach against all loss or dam age which may be sustained by reason of the issuance of said duplicate certificates. Be it further resolved that Resolution No. 5776, heretofore adopted on November 15th, 1944, be and the same is hereby rescinded and repealed. PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day of February, A. Mailer, then residing at Miami Beach, Florida, did for and -on behalf of the owner of the following described property, purchase from the Tax Collector of the City of .aia;ti Beach, Florida , that certain Tax Sales Certificate No. 1102, dated September 5th, 1932, cover- ing City of Miami Beach taxes for the year 1931 , against that certain land situate , lying and being in the City of Miami Beach, Florida, described as follows: Lot 14, Block 44, Subdivision of Block 44 of Alton Beach Bey Front in 33-33-42; P. B. 6/166. r",ffient further says that et the time said Tax Sales Certi- ficiate was issued, said C. A. Daherwas acting as agent for the owner of said property end that the 494.60 which was paid for said Tax Certificate No. 1102 was furnished to C. A. Maher by t__e owner of said property then residing in Burlington, Iowa. Affiant further says that although said Tax Sales Certificate was issued by the said City Tax Collector to and in the name of said C . A. .. her, as a matter of truth and fact said 0 . A. Maher vas purchasing and did purchase said Certificate for end on behalf of the owner of said property, Katherine L. Fitzpatrick, Trustee; that said Tax Sales Certificate has been lost or destroyed. .:Lerefore, affiant now makes applicatiaa for a duplicate of said lax Sales Certificate in lieu of the above Tax Sales Certi- ficate, lost or destroyed as aforesaid.
