A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING AND DESIGNATING
CLERKS AND INSPECTORS FOR THE SPECIAL ELECTION TO
BE HELD ON JULY 24, 1945
WHEREAS, for the purpose of holding and conducting the Special
Election to be held on July 24, 1945, the City has been divided into
nine voting precincts or election districts, numbered 24 to 32, inclus-
ive, the boundaries of said precincts or districts having been offici-
ally described in Resolution No. 5842 as passed and adopted by the
City Council on July 2, 1945; and
WHEREAS, official notice of said election is being published pur-
suant to the provisions of Resolution No. 5842, passed and adopted by
the City Council on July 2, 1945,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That for the purpose of holding and conducting the
said Special Election on July 24, 1945, nine election boards be provid-
ed, the registration books of said City be divided into nine parts cor-
responding to the voting precincts or election districts as heretofore
designated, and that for said purpose Clerks and Inspectors be and they
are hereby appointed and designated as follows:

That L. L. O'Berry be, and he is hereby appointed, custodian of the
voting machines to be used in this election.
SECTION 2. That notice of the foregoing appointments be given
by publishing in The Miami Beach Sun and Miami Beach Daily Tropics, a
newspaper published in the City of Miami Beach, Florida, at least
fifteen days before the day of the holding of said election.
