I am seeking the building card of the Martinique Hotel 6423 Collins Ave., built circa 1946-7. I am also seeking whatever we can find about the first hotel which today is at 112 Ocean Drive but in those days I believe the street still was called Atlantic Avenue. The hotel had several names, principally the Ocean Beach Hotel and Brown's Hotel. It is now Browns Hotel as 112 Ocean. Construction on the original building began in the spring or summer of 1915; what I don't know is when it was completed, or if certificates of occupancy were required in those days. Regarding plat books. I was corrected yesterday by the man from engineering who said we needed to see an atlas; that was the terminology. So, we are trying to find the atlas kept by Aristotle Ares. Hoping this answers what's needed. Howard Kleinberg • Wednesday, June 09, 2004 America Online: HKMiami
