Resolution 5909 RESOLUTION NO. 5 909
WHEREAS, on the 5th day of June, 1942, a lease was entered
into between the City of Miami Beach, as Lessor, and the United
States of America, as Lessee, covering property known as
Portion of Flamingo Park,
SW corner Lot 5, Block 70,
Lincoln Subdivision, Miami
Beach, Florida,
and more particularly described in said lease being known by the
United States Government as lease W2287 ENG-1182; and
WHEREAS, the Government has served upon said City a notice
that said United States now exercises the right reserved in said
lease to give up said premises effective midnight, December 24,
1945,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute and
deliver, in the name of and on behalf of said City, acknowledgment
of the cancellation of said lease, a written draft of which has
been prepared and submitted by the Government and the City Council
being familiar with the terms thereof.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 19th day of December, A. D. 1945.
