Got involved about 4 years ago. Grew up in Miami, businessman. In real estate business,
Harbour House.
Old aged hotel, inadequate plumbing, not modern amenities. Small rooms, little doors,
narrow hallways, older retired people. Gutted it to the slabs. Lived with constraints of
historic district; very tough.
Renovation about $30 million. Bought from owner of many years. It was closed for three
years and reopened in February 2002. Hired management company. b0% of guests from
New York, next from California in movie production.
All bedroom suites. New pool, garden, art gallery. Major collection. Recotgnized
contemporary artists. Been collecting 10 years, rotating collection. Looking for upscale
crowd. It's a sense of fulfillment. Fshion shoots, nothing trendy, travel all over world for
art. Photography is a major part of contemporary art movement; environmental art.
