Resolution 6087 RESOLUTION NO. 6087 WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has reached a stage in its growth which warrants the establishment of a separate Post Office, and WHEREAS, the continuation of the City of Miami Beach Post Office in the category of a branch post office seriously interferes with the proper postal service in this community, and WHEREAS, a very substantial portion of the postal business in Dade County originates in the City of Miami Beach, and WHEREAS, The City of Miami Beach now has a permanent population of approximately 35,000 and a winter population of upwards of 100,00O,and WHEREAS, the continued growth of the City of Miami Reach is being hindered by the lack of a main post office and the present postal service, NOW,THEREFORE, be it resolvedby the CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that the natural growth and development of The City of Miami Beach demand the immediate establishment of a separate post office for the City of Miami Beach, and BE IT FURTHJH RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Postmaster General of the United. States, the United States Senators from the State of Florida, the Congressman for this Congressional District . PASSED and.
