Resolution 6113 RESOLUTION NO. 6113
WHEREAS, Pan American Airways, Inc. , the pioneer in the
development of air commerce between the Greater Miami Area and
the Countries of Central and South America, now plane to enter
the domestic air commerce field by the establishment of high
speed express services between Boston, New York, Philadelphia,
the Washington—Baltimore Area and the Miami—Miami Beach Area, and
between Chicago and the Miami—Miami Beach Area, and
WHEREAS, the establishment of such services would be of
great benefit to the economic development of the City of Miami
Beach, and would be in conformity with the Government post—war
policy which permits United States domestic air lines to operate
abroad and our overseas air line system to operate domestically;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach hereby approves the Application of Pan
American Airways, Inc. to operate these domestic aviation ser—
vices as above described, and recommends that such Application
be given early favorable consideration by the Civil Aeronautics
Board, and the City Manager of the City of Miami Beach is hereby
instructed to take such steps as are necessary to present this
Resolution to the Civil Aeronautics Board of the United States
and all other governmental agencies and departments concerned
therewith.
