SUBJECT: CHANGES TO THE FPL POWER DUCT BANK INSTALLATION ON COLLINS
AVENUE, BETWEEN 32ND AND 4
STREETS
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to provide information to the Mayor and City
Commission regarding the changes to the FPL Power Duct Bank Installation Project on Collins
Avenue, between 32nd and 40th Streets.
To date, the job is approximately 70% complete. They are currently conducting work between
37th and 38th Streets, and will be moving away from the Caribbean Condominium and the larger
condominiums within 2 — 3 weeks. The remainder of the job will take another 6 — 8 weeks, even
with the time extension granted (8:OOpm — 6:OOam).
The current schedule for this project is taking place between the hours of 8:OOPM — 6:OOAM,
Monday — Fridays. However, given the nature of the work and the fact that we have entered the
summer months and school traffic has ended, we will be changing the work schedule to the
daytime hours of 8:OOAM to 4:OOPM, Monday - Friday. This will begin on Monday, June 11,
2018.
