Resolution 6228 RESOLUTION NO. 6228
WN.EREAS, the City of Miami Beach is desirous of obtaining
certain services in connection with the 1947 State legislative
session; and
WHEREAS, the Florida League of Municipalities has offered
to render these desired services for the sum of 33, 500.00 as
further set forth in the following form of contract, to-wit:
"CONTRACT FOR LEGISLATIVE SERVICE
FROM
FLORIDA LEAGUE OF MUNICIPALITIES
The Florida League of Municipalities offers to render
the following service to the City of Miami Beach
during the regular session of the 1947 Florida Legis-
lature :
(a) Copies of all general bills and resolutions
affecting municipalities as introduced in
the Legislature will be promptly furnished
and delivered to the City;
(b) Copies of all general measures affecting
utilities owned or operated by the City as
introduced in the Legislature will be prompt-
ly furnished and delivered to the City;
(c) An examination and analysis of such proposed
laws will be made and consultation thereon
afforded at Tallahassee, and reports furnish-
ed from time to time and upon request con-
cerning the status of such municipal
measures;
(d) Facilities and assistance in arranging app-
ointments for the transaction of business by
representatives of the City when in attend-
ance on the Legislature will be provided;
at and for the contract price of : 3,500.00, payable
upon the acceptance of this offer.

The undersigned City hereby accepts the foregoing offer
of services, and transmits herewith its check or war-
rant for the contract price this day of

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the foregoing proposal
be accepted and that the City Manager and the City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized to write and sign a city
voucher in the sum of $3, 500.00, payable to The Florida League
of Municipalities, in full payment of said obligation, said
sum to be charged to Unappropriated Current Fund Surplus.
