Resolution 6366 RESOLUTION NO. 6366
WHEREAS, following negotiations for some months, the City Council,
by resolution passed and adopted on December 9, 1946, accepted the
proposal of The Miami Beach Improvement Co. dated December 3, 1946,
offering to sell and convey to the City of Miami Beach by Special Warranty
deed the ocean front ends of 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th Streets, for the
sum of $100,000.00 and directed the City Attorney, the Mayor and the
City Clerk to proceed with the closing of the deal, and
WHEREAS, by reason of certain complications which arose in closing
the deal and the absence from the City from time to tune, of necessary
officials of the seller company, the deed of conveyance was not actually
completed and delivered until early in July, 1947;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Miami Bech that thDade County Tax Assessor and the Dade County Com-
missioners be and they are hereby requested and petitioned to exempt
from taxation on the 1947 tax roll the following described oceanfront
street ends, inasmuch as they have been acquired solely for the use and
benefit of the public, for bathing and other uses incidental thereto.
