Resolution 6370 RESOLUTION NO, 6370
W REAAS, from time to time it becomes necessary for
officers and employees of the City of Miami 'each to furnish
emergency medical attention and treatment, on behalf of the
City, to its citizens and its Winter and Summer visitors, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to the best interest
of the City that a competent physician should be designated as
the "City Physician" and should be called upon by the City for
such emergency services as may be required by the occasion,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED Y THE CIJ'Y COUNCIL ON
TUE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that Dr. Irving L . 'Alberts be
and he is hereby designated as the "City Physician" of the City
of T:iami Beach, Florida.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLV_.,D that officers and employees
in the Department of Public Safety be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to employ and secure the services of
the City Physician, if available, if, as and when the services
of a physician and surgeon are required on behalf of the City,
to attend Persons requiring such services, other than City
employees who may require medical attention in connection" with,
or for reasons arising out of and in the course of their em-
ployment.
