SUBJECT: Evaluation Committee Relative to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2018 -155 -WG, for
Pre -qualified Pool of Contractors for Statewide Housing Initiatives Partnership Program
(SHIP) Rehabilitation Projects
The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the status of Request for
Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2018 -155 -WG, which seeks to establish an agreement with a qualified firm(s)
for a pre -qualified pool of contractors for Statewide Housing Initiatives Partnership Program (SHIP)
Rehabilitation Projects.
The City will receive proposals pursuant to this RFQ on Thursday, May 10, 2018. The responsive
proposals will be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee in accordance with the criteria established in the
RFQ.
I am considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:
• Tony Gonzalez, Operations Manager, Building Department, City of Miami Beach
• Justin Karr, Real Estate Asset Specialist, Tourism, Culture and Economic Development
Department, City of Miami Beach
• Nelson Martinez, Tenant Services Coordinator, Housing & Community Services Department, City
of Miami Beach
• Oniel Toledo, Construction Manager, Property Management Department, City of Miami Beach
• Kenneth Varela, Code Compliance Administrator, Code Compliance Department, City of Miami
Beach
I am also considering the following individuals as alternates:
• Marcela, Rubio, Tenant Services Coordinator, Housing & Community Services Department, City
of Miami Beach
• Alba Tarre, Assistant Director, Housing & Community Services Department, City of Miami Beach
