RESOLUTION NO. 6280
W-EREAS, on the 7th day of April, 1944, the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, hereinafter referred to as the City,
entered into a lease with the United States of America, herein-
after referred to as the Government, by the terms of which the
City leased to the Government the following described premises,
to-wit:
Lots 23 through 26, both inclusive, Block 2, Amended
Fleetwood Subdivision, according to the plat thereof,
recorded in Plat Book 28, at page 34, of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida, together with the
improvements located thereon comprising the Miami
Beach Hospital, and also those certain articles and
personal property located thereon listed in the in-
ventory attached to said lease,

WHEREAS, said Lease was terminated on the 30th day of
June, 1946; and
WHEREAS, by the terms of said lease the Government was re-
quired to restore the premises to the same condition as that exist-
ing at the time of entering upon the same under said lease, rea-
sonable and ordinary wear and tear excepted; and
WHEREAS, the Government has offered to pay to the City the
sum of $2,762.45 in lieu of restoration of said premises as afore-
said, and replacement of missing items, provided the City, simul-
taneously with the payment of said sum, purchases from the Govern-
ment certain items heretofore placed upon the premises by the
hl� Government, including kitchen equipment , roof fans, fire hose,etc. ,
paying to the Government therefor the sum of $2,635.00; and
WHEREAS, a Supplemental Agreement has been prepared and sub-
mitted by the Government by the terms of which the parties agree
to the settlement heretofore outlined; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
deems it to the best interest of said City to accept the proposition
so made by the Government,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and the City Clerk

be and they are hereby authorized to execute said Supplemental
Agreement in the name of and on behalf of said City of Miami Beach.
