Bloodhound that I am, I have tracked down the man
who owned Jimmy 's Just-A-Hobby. His name was James
Chagaris. The formal address of the restaurant was
4110 North Meridian Avenue.
Jimmy 's Just-A-Hobby first shows up in the 1949
city directory and disappears after the 1969
directory; 20 years. Chagaris, who lived at 5212
North Bay Road, also no longer appears as a
resident in the Miami Beach city directory after
1969 so he either died then or moved away.
