Dear Hank,
I was looking for you at the Orange Bowl Committee luncheon to
tell you that I am writing a book on the history of Miami Beach
and that I can 't do it without sitting down for a long
conversation with Hank Meyer.
Miami Beach hasn 't had a history written since Polly Redford 's
"Million Dollar Sandbar" more than 20 years ago. A lot has
happened since.
I 'd like to schedule some time to talk with you, Hank, about
people like Godfrey, Sullivan and Gleason, about Steve
Hannegan, about the post-war boom, about Beach politics, the
hotel owners, the syndicate, etc.
You are very much a part of Miami Beach history. You may remain
anonymous, if you prefer, but I just need to pick your brains.
Also, if you have any files or documents, that would be a
bonus.

of setting up an appointment.
